Assets In for Jira Service Management

Restore Assets objects from an Assets Out export, with a dry run before every change.

Assets has no recycle bin. When objects are deleted by mistake or overwritten by a bad import or automation, Assets In brings them back from an export package made with Assets Out on the same site. Choose what to restore, review the plan, then confirm. The app never deletes anything and never changes your schemas, object types, or attributes. It is a Forge app for Jira Cloud with no developer-operated backend and requires Jira Service Management Premium or Enterprise with Assets.

• Two modes

  Create missing recreates objects that no longer exist and leaves existing ones untouched. Restore also sets existing objects back to the package state.

• Mandatory dry run

  See what will be created, updated, left unchanged, or skipped before anything is written.

• Never deletes

  Nothing is deleted, and schemas, object types, attributes, and statuses are never changed.

• Pick what to restore

  Restore whole object types, or pick single objects by key or label.

• References restored

  References between objects are restored in two passes, so links between recreated objects work.

• Resumable

  An interrupted run can be continued from its report without creating duplicates.

• Downloadable report

  Lists every change, including a map from old to new object ids.

• Runs as you

  Only Jira admins can open the app, and you can restore only objects in schemas you can edit. The package is read in your browser and nothing leaves Atlassian.
