Deletion Log for Jira

An audit trail for deleted Jira work items, deployed to your own site from source.

Deletion Log records every work item deletion with a Forge trigger and storage, so deletions no longer consume Jira Automation runs. Jira administrators browse, filter, and export the log from one global page. It is open source (MIT): you register and deploy it to your own Jira Cloud site yourself, with no external egress and no developer-operated backend.

  • Admin only

    Every resolver call checks that the current user is a Jira administrator.

  • Filterable

    Date range, project, deleted by, and exact work item key.

  • CSV export

    Exports everything matching the filters, UTF-8 with BOM, safe against formula injection.

  • Self-cleaning

    A daily job purges records older than the retention period (30 to 1825 days, default 365).

  • Idempotent

    One record per work item, so redelivered events never create duplicates.

  • Light and dark

    Uses Atlassian design tokens, with no bundled fonts or remote assets.
